"6 Weeks To Try" is our campaign to encourage people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels to take on the challenge of a first beginner friendly triathlon - the TryAthy. We have chosen 5 people from across Ireland to champion this campaign and over the course of the six week build-up we share our knowledge and experience through online training programmes and tri camps.
Our "TryAthletes" will be blogging and sharing the experience along the way. Myths are dispelled, confidence is instilled and fun is had all leading to that goal of a completed triathlon on 1st June. We invite all would-be triathletes to join in this campaign. "6 Weeks To Try" could well be the start of a new life-long-love of triathlon.
If you're curious and excited by the challenge of a first triathlon sign up for TryAthy on 1st June - we promise you won't regret it.
Join Us on our dedicated "6 Weeks to Try" Facebook page to share stories and insights about our campaign. On Twitter use the hashtag #6weekstotry

Lives: Athy, Co. Kildare
About:Mum of 3 busy little boys. A slimming group helped to shift some pregnancy pounds but the eureka moment was that a healthier lifestyle is not just about weight control, it's also about fitness. The wetsuit is bought. The tyres are pumped. First triathlon, here we come.
About:Celebrating health and life after a diagnosis of depression 2 years ago. A strong will to reclaim life led to a qualification in nursing and a renewed desire to get fit. TryAthy is a stepping stone to a bright future full of zest and determination.
About:Call it a mid-life crisis? Call it madness? Call it what you will, it's time to tick the box on the to-do list. A regular commuter, a fledgling swimmer and a 10k runner. The finishing line beckons.
About:Engaged to a budding triathlete, who will play lead support role over the next 6 weeks. Completely new to triathlon, lots to learn but eager to get started. Walking down the aisle 3 weeks after TriAthy.
About: Busy mum of two, aged 5 and 2. Graduate of a Couch to 5km programme. Crossing the finish line of the 1st 5km run ignited a fire and passion for fitness. Ready to step up to the challenge of triathlon.
